Motorola has just announced the MOTOLUXE and Defy Mini Android smartphones that it will showcase at CES next week, which will then be first introduced in Greater China, Europe and Latin America this spring.
The MOTOLUXE is already available in China as XT615 and sports a 4-inch edge-to-edge 480×854 pixel display, 8.0 MP rear and VGA front cameras, 800 MHz processor and 512MB RAM/1GB ROM. It runs on a new Gingerbread update 2.3.7. Considering its specs, we think the MOTOLUXE will be priced in the Rs 20,000-25,000 range if and when it is launched in India.
The Defy Mini, on the other hand, will certainly be an entry-level rugged Android smartphone that runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread), has a 3.2-inch 320×480 pixel display, a 600 MHz processor, a 3.0 MP rear and VGA front camera and 512MB of ROM and RAM. Like the Defy, it will also be shock, water and dust resistant.
